About Harold Evans
I started growing mushrooms in a studio apartment on a glass stovetop. My entire setup cost less than $100. When it worked, I told myself I wouldn't upgrade until I had mastered what I had. That philosophy has shaped everything since.

Fungi are more intelligent than we give them credit for. They produce molecules that positively affect the health of an entirely different species. We don't fully understand how or why, and that mystery is part of what keeps me at the flow hood.
What began as personal cultivation became a serious study of fungi at every level: taxonomy, cultivation techniques, extraction methods, and medicinal properties. I'm a mycologist. Not because I took a class, but because I never stopped learning, growing, and refining.

My work isn't confined to the lab. I hunt wild species on trails regularly to understand how and where they grow naturally, because that field knowledge directly informs what happens in controlled environments.
